Looking for something to do for a vacation, and failing to get a permit to camp
overnight in the Grand Canyon, Steve and I were lucky enough to find the
San Juan Hut System which
operates an unguided mountain biking tour from Telluride, Colorado to Moab, Utah.
The hut system provides detailed trail maps that take you 206 miles between Telluride and Moab. Spaced approximately every 35 miles, there are huts stocked with food and water where you stay for the evening before heading out for the next day. The trip is 6 nights and 7 days of biking. Steve and I took a few pictures along the way- here they are:
