Carolina and I recently visited Montreal for a weekend. From Boston, we drove 1/2 way to NH and stayed with my parents on Friday night. Saturday morning we drove the rest of the way to the city.
We walked around the city all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday, before driving home. Montreal is a very clean city and is very much "alive" in both it's historical old port and in it's modern downtown sections.
